While waiting for the bus, I happened to glance at the woman next to me. We smiled at each other, then, pulling out a penny, she said: I found this. You can have it. It can be your lucky penny.
We spoke about the usual things. What I remember is her face shining with sincerity. I don’t know what my face was doing. Probably beaming a bit too much.
